Hi Denis! Happy New Year! It sounds like an interesting movie, but I'm not a big Brad Pitt fan, although I adore Cate Blanchett. I know its based off a short story, but can't remember who wrote it though. Have a great day!

Hi Denis! I don't remember which version of Les Mis I read, but I do remember it was over 1400 pages. Just an incredible read. I'll have to look into Snow Falling on Cedars, sounds like a great read! Have a great weekend Denis!

Hi Denis! Thank you for your ping! I will have to pick up David Copperfield and give it another go! I got it as a present in high school, but never got around to reading it, because of my busy schedule, and the fact I had just a ton of books!
Basically, anything that can really tell a good story and get into the nitty gritty of the human condition is interesting to me. Some classic writers, and philosophers for that matter are overrated (
Hemingway and Fitzgerald, Nietzsche) and others, like Hugo with Les Miserables, move me to the core. It also appealed to my Catholic sensabilities, with its theme of social justice. Count of Monte Cristo was just plain fun to read, in my opinion. We should get into a discussion of good books Denis! The last really interesting book I read was John Adams: Party of One. What you think you know about the guy, or any president for that matter, tends to be more interesting than the brief synopsis of these people that are taught in school these days,

I got so wrapped up in the emotional tension that I didn't notice any repetitions or bad sentence structure. I suppose if one rereads enough of what you have already written you become overly critical. Keep up the good work, and don't be too much of a nit picker.
